CCPT is proud to serve all ages from pediatric patients experiencing sports medicine and orthopedic injuries to our senior patients experiencing either orthopedic and/or neurological deficits. Our therapists have been trained with a specific manual-based approach which focuses on hands-on assessment and treatment of injuries and improving muscle and joint pain with a variety of techniques.
SERVICES WE OFFER
Orthopedic & Sports Medicine
At CCPT, we are trained to evaluate, assess, and treat a wide range of orthopedic and sports medicine related injuries. Whether you injured your back working in the yard, or are recovering from a total knee replacement, we are equipped with the newest research and techniques to aid in your recovery. We can also assist in both injury prevention and the rehabilitation of sports related injuries.
Dry Needling
We offer dry needling! We assess all our patients for the possibility of benefitting from dry needling and discuss with the patient if it is a therapeutic option for him/her. Dry needling is defined by the APTA as: the use of solid needles (acupuncture needles) for therapy of muscle pain. The needles are used by a certified therapist to stimulate underlying myofascial trigger points (knots) in muscles and connective tissue for management of neuromusculoskeletal pain and movement impairments.
Neurological Physical Therapy
Balance problems including: vertigo/BPPV management, cervicogenic dizziness management, and general balance issues: Our therapists have been trained in management of dizziness: including the Epley’s maneuver for BPPV, and management of vertigo; but also neurological disorders, from stroke and general balance problems to frequent falling. Courtney has been working almost exclusively with neurological patients over the last few years and offers a wealth of knowledge to assist with the recovery from an acute stroke to a more chronic condition. She is specialized in balance training to promote better independence and safety in the home and community.
TMJ Disorder
Michael has experience in treating TMJ disorder. TMD is a pain or popping in the temporomandibular joint that can be brought on by many different things including: trauma, teeth clinching, poor posture, or tension in the neck or face. The goal is to reduce pain caused by this disorder through movements and exercises.
Wellness Program
We offer a wellness program for our patients as a step-down option after graduating from skilled therapy. It is a monthly gym program where patients can continue to work out and be monitored by our therapists for form and to ensure no injuries occur.
